different sizes of Ziploc™ bags…here are a few suggestions.

1. Fill up bags with homemade soup and then lay them flat in the

freezer. By stacking them flat, it will save freezer space.

2. To protect breakable cargo if you have no bubble wrap, slip a straw

into the top of a nearly closed Ziploc™ bag and inflate. Remove the

straw and seal.

Vinegar (from Old French vinaigre "sour wine") is a sour liquid made from the oxidation Idaho Real Estate Tips

of ethanol in wine, cider, beer, or the like. Vinegar is typically three to five percent by volume

acetic acid, and natural vinegars also contain smaller amounts of tartaric acid, citric

acid, and others.

1. Make vinegar ice cubes to deodorize a garbage disposal by feeding them down the

disposal. When done grinding, run cold water through the drain.

2. Clean a dishwasher by running a cup of vinegar through an entire cycle to reduce

soap buildup on the inner mechanisms and glassware.

Georges de Mestral, a Swiss engineer, invented the hook-loop fastener in 1941. The idea Idaho Real Estate Tips

came to him after he took a close look at the Burdock seeds which kept sticking to his clothes

and his dog’s fur on their daily walk in the Alps, during the summer. He examined their

condition and saw the possibility of binding two materials reversibly in a simple fashion.

He developed the hook and loop fastener and submitted his idea for patent in 1951.

 De Mestral named his invention "VELCRO" after the French words velours, meaning ‘velvet,’

and crochet, or ‘hook.’

1. Stick several strips of Velcro™ to the wall and to the back of a lightweight frame to hang

art or photos on a wall.

2. Sew small pieces of Velcro™ between buttons to create a smooth surface to prevent a

jacket or a blouse from gaping open.

1. Clean drains. Using 1/2 cup of salt per every quart of hot water,

pour the solution into the drain.

2. Remove red-wine stains from your clothes. Stretch the fabric over a

bowl, then cover the stain with salt, and then carefully pour boiling

water over it.

tapes have recently become available. It was originally developed in 1942

during World War II as a waterproof sealing tape for ammunition cases.

1. By wrapping a piece of duct tape around your hand with the sticky

side out, you can use it to remove lint or hair from your clothing.
