The heat and the tumbling motion of the dryer releases the dryer sheet’s ingredients.
They actually provide a lubricating effect on fabrics that not only causes
fibers to feel smooth and soft, but also helps prevent the static electricity buildup.
1. Place a dryer sheet in a dresser drawer to keep it smelling fresh and
clean.
2. Stick a dryer sheet between the pages of your old books to keep them
from smelling musty when in storage.
3. Place a dryer sheet in your suitcase or gym bag so your clean clothes
won’t smell like the dirty ones.
4. Place a dryer sheet inside a pair of smelly shoes overnight to remove
odors.
5. Dust mini-blinds by closing the blinds, then wiping them up and
down with a dryer sheet.
6. Use a dryer sheet over the area where your pet shed his/her fur.
7. Wipe a used dryer sheet on clothing, hair, TV screens, and computer
monitors to remove static.
8. To prevent clothing from clinging, rub a damp dryer sheet over slips
and pantyhose.
9. Run a threaded needle through a dryer sheet right before you begin
your handiwork to prevent thread from tangling when sewing.
10. Place a fresh dryer sheet in the bottom of a dirty pan of caked on
food then fill with lukewarm water, and soak overnight to loosen it
up. The pan will be a lot easier to clean the next day.
