WD-40 is the trademark of a widely used penetrating oil spray.
It was developed in 1953 to eliminate water and prevent corrosion on electrical
circuitry. It also has many household uses.
1. Lubricate squeaky door hinges in your house and on your vehicle
doors.
2. Remove scuff and tar marks on linoleum and tile.
3. Remove crayon marks from walls by spraying WD-40 on the marks
and wipe with a clean rag.
4. If you get super-strong glue on your fingers, spray some WD-40 on
them, and then rub hands together until fingers are no longer sticky.
5. Use WD-40 to remove the sticky price label from a package. Also
works for removing those labels from the back of a new credit card.
6. Rub a generous amount of WD-40 on the wood handles of gardening
tools to keep them from splintering.
7. To remove gum from hair, spray hair with WD-40, and the gum will
comb out easily.
8. If you have a stubborn zipper on a backpack, sleeping bag or a jacket,
spray WD-40 on it several times and work the zipper up and down.
9. Use WD-40 on the metal strip on the shower door bottom to repel
water and to prevent corrosive build-up from hard water deposits.
10. When stacking glasses or flowerpots spray with WD-40 first so they
